ELECTROMECHANICAL INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your role
The successful candidate will have experience in Designing, Deploying and Supporting passive and electromechanical infrastructure of Data Centers and Network Nodes. He/She will be reporting to the Chief Technology officer of Rural Connect with the following key responsibilities:
- Engineering the passive and electromechanical infrastructure of Data Centers and network sites:
- Structured Cabling
- Power supply systems (power generators, rectifiers, battery chargers, inverters etc.)
- Site management and automation systems
- Electrical installation of the sites
- Fire extinguish systems
- Air-condition systems
- Physical security systems (access control, cameras)
- Environmental monitoring
- Electromechanical systems control etc
- Documenting the solution
- Managing the infrastructure bill-of-materials
- Providing technical guidance to the rollout personnel
- Manage vendors and Resolve systematic issues with them
- Work in a team with other system architects (IP, DSL, LTE) to ensure homogeneous network design
- Ensure a cost effective & functional solution design
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills:
- Degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years’ proven experience in passive and electromechanical infrastructure of Data Centers and Network Nodes
- Experience in developing, interpreting and implementing technical documentation
- Ability to implement technical requirements and develop detail design
- Demonstrated ability to decompose requirements from 3rd party technical specifications and create design specifications
- Ability to create and develop test plans and solutions for electromechanical equipment

- Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Able to develop solutions in a team environment
