SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your role
The successful candidate will provide design, operations support and consulting services for a Service Provider in Greece, utilizing Servers, VMware, Operating Systems, Storage & Backup technologies, emphasizing in design & optimisation with the following key responsibilities:
- Working in the engineering team on system-level design, providing architectural expertise and guidance
- Design support providing architectural expertise and guidance
- Troubleshooting, tuning, optimization and maintenance
- Supporting subcontractors and clients during the deployment phas
- Carrying out quality acceptance controls and acceptance verifications
- Responsible for the IT operations of the service provider datacentre and corporate infrastructure, producing and/or reviewing of operations related procedures and plans
- Writing, reviewing and providing feedback on technical documents written throughout the organization
- Performing instructional sessions for knowledge transfer
- Providing regular status reporting
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required skills:
- Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as Systems Engineer preferably in a service provider environment
- Hands on experience on IT hardware infrastructure and corporate support applications
- Strong knowledge in Virtualization environments, operating systems, storage & backup systems
- Excellent command of the English and Greek language (spoken & written)
- Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)
Desired skills:
- Certifications in VMware virtualization platform

- Ability to work independently in a multi-cultural, multi-vendor environment
- Flexibility – Willingness to participate in non-standard working-time models (e.g. call availability etc.)
